When
the certified seed is required to be repacked in other containers straight away
or after processing to suit the market requirements or for some such genuine
reasons, the Assistant Director of Seed Certification may permit for repacking
at the request of the holder on payment of fees as specified below:
Reprocessing (if done) and repacking should be supervised by the Seed Certification Officer. The SCO will undertake sampling, and the samples shall be sent for analysis. On receipt of results tagging and sealing of the repacked containers can be done duly filling the details as found in the original certification tag.
Such
repacking shall be carried out provided that the seeds were offered in unopened
original container with the tag and seal intact and provided further that the
seeds conforms to the prescribed standards for certification.
If there are any requests for repacking the seeds certified by other State Certification Agencies, the Director of Seed Certification may be approached for permission and guidance.
